Birthday Party for Drew

A friend of mine suggested that we have a birthday party for Drew when he came home from the hospital to help Madison adjust to her new brother! It was a great idea, Madi loved it and she even got a present or too! The theme was Elmo because Madi loves him & I let her decide what to have for his party.

Marco, Madi and Gamma (who by-the-way is the most wonderful mother-in-law in the world. She came and watched Madi the whole time I was in the hospital!)

I had been looking forward to Madison meeting Drew since we found out we were pregnant! I have just been so excited to see the look on her face and see how she would react to a baby! She is doing so well with him. She loves to hold him and bring me things for him, which is great because poppin' up isn't easy for me now right now. "Drew" also bought her a present that she loved, so he's on her good list!

He's finally here!

Andrew "Drew" Marco Lehmer was born on April 15th @ 10:12 am

Weight: 7 lbs. 7 oz.
Length: 20 in.

He is doing excellent! Very healthy with absolutely NO Blood Sugar/Diabetes problems and his platelet count was amazing, over 400,000!!!! Normal count is 150,000 so they are no longer concerned with any pregnancy related issues for him.

An-dew, Come?

Well little man is still not here! Madison asks me everyday, "An-dew, Come?" She really wants to see her little brother! Believe me I do too!
At this time last pregnancy, Madison was already here so I am feeling more than ready to have him. Especially because this one has been a lot harder!
I've tried all the labor inducing suggestions people have, walking, eating spicy food, walking, raspberry tea, walking, pressure point foot massages, walking, etc.
Any new suggestions? I'm definitely open!

Madison is all about Elmo. In fact it's been the only leverage I have to get her to take a nap these days!! Although I thought I would never bribe my kids to do anything, things change when your 9 months pregnant and totally exhausted!

It is such a blessing for us have my mom near by! She calls us and offers to watch Madi so we can have a date. We are so glad she is does!!! Love ya Grammy!

She really did have fun coloring Easter Eggs even though it doesn't seem like it. I said, "Show mommy the box" & she said, "Why?".
