Surprise!

Madison was napping (kind of a miracle these days) and Marco and I were just down stairs in the house. All the sudden the garage door opened and Marco's parents, who live in Wilmington, NC (3 1/2 hrs. away) walked in!!!! To say we were a surprised is an understatement! They came to visit for a few hours and bring us a dresser for Madison's room. Usually I'm not a big surprise person but this was a great one and I was so glad that Madi woke up right away to spend time with them.

Madi loves their dog Bella so much. She took her for several walks and held on to her leash even when we went in the house. I think she thinks it's her dog!

Madison is just talking so much now and it just cracks us up all the time! Certain words are really hard to say though!

Thank you = Ca-Ca
Diaper = Di-pear (almost with a French accent!)
Chocolate Milk = Chaa-chee Muk
Grover = Gro-gro

Goal!!

No the other way!!! She did make several goals just while I was watching, after all she has the best coach, Daddy!!!

I think it was even before Madison was born that Marco's mom (Gamma) bought her this soccer goal! Now that the weather is starting to get a little bit nicer Marco got it out and oh, my does she love it!
I was at a friends baby shower and they were outside the whole time playing! As you can tell from her hair, daddy had gotten her up from her nap and hadn't done anything to tame the mane! She looked like orphan Annie but at least she was having a lot of fun!!!

Baby Boy's Name is...........

ANDREW MARCO

We will probably call him DREW which I think is so cute! Marco picked his name and Madison & I really like it. She says, "Ann-dew" or "Dew".
Andrew means "Manliness" and Marco is obviously after his daddy!

Daddy's little girl!

I knew the day would come when Madison would turn into Daddy's little girl.
I asked her if she was Mommy's princess and she said, "No, Daddy's preences!" and now when Daddy's home, she wants him to wash her hands or get her juice. I am actually really glad because this is good timing with baby boy coming soon. I know she will still need me but it's good to know she will be OK with Marco helping her especially since soon she won't be able to have all of Mommy's attention.

New favorite doll!

Around 2 Madison started being really attached to her baby doll and only one would do but now she loves her new doll just as much! She talks and has blond hair and blue eyes so she named her "Emma" after her beautiful cousin, which is so sweet!

Baby Moon!

Marco and I were so blessed to be able to get away for a short but fun Baby Moon this weekend. A friend of a friend had a beautiful Lake House that we got to use for free!!!!! And my Mom stayed with little Miss Madison which was so great! She loves her Grammy!

The one thing we didn't plan for was the snow that started when we were leaving. We left anyway because it was only an hour away and wasn't sticking at all. Little did we know that we would almost slide off the road 4x and get there 4 1/2 hrs. later! At one point we were totally stopped for over an hour because of an 18 wheeler that started to jack knife and blocked the road. There was a point when we thought we were going to be stuck on the side of the road for the night. Thankfully the local authorities showed up and when Marco mentioned that I was 7 months pregnant and have Diabetes, the Sheriff came to help push us out to an alternate route and personally escorted us to where we needed to go!





That is as far as we could see about 100 ft. in front of us!

It was a lot easier to appreciate it in the day light when we were safe and had a warm place to stay!




Once we got there safely it was a wonderful chance to talk, connect and get some good sleep before baby boy comes! We are not going to have many more opportunities like this for a long time! I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful husband who is so amazing! I enjoyed our time honey! Love ya!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We hope that everyone has a very Happy Valentine's Day!
This is my 1st and hopefully last V-day without being able to have candy, especially chocolates =( I love my little baby boy so much though, he is totally worthy the small sacrifices of this Diabetes diet! Keep growing and developing safe and healthy little peanut!

Twin Day!

I got ready this morning and then got Madison dressed when she got up, then looked and saw we were dressed exactly the same, oh well twin day right down to the shoes! She thought it was pretty funny! And the bow only stayed in during the pictures but it sure was cute while it lasted!

A friend gave me some newborn diapers her baby had already grown out of and I had one of Madison's near it, I couldn't believe how little it was in comparison! I know Madison was that little but it's so hard to remember! I can't wait for my little man to get here!

Suggestions.......

Hey guys I need some help. Our blog has been called Madison's Avenue but now that little man is almost here I probably need to change it. The only idea I have so far is: Lehmer Lane. Not real creative or exciting......So any suggestions?

1st playdate with Ahavah!

Ahavah is so cute and already gained 3 lbs. in month! Healthy girl!




Madison had a great time with Megan's baby girl! She was very gentle and sweet with her. She helped us get diapers and her blanket when we needed them. So hopefully it was a preview of how Madi will be with her baby brother!

Madison's new room!

We finally have Madison's new big girl room put together! She slept in there for the 1st time last night and stayed in her bed all night long and was so proud of herself!!!! I can't believe my little baby girl is getting so big! Thanks Gamma & Pop-Pop for getting her Bed (Room) in a bag and the poka-dot lamp, it looks so good!

Bye-Bye Jenn =(

We have enjoyed having my friend Jenn here for the last six months but it was time for her to go back to South Africa were she has lived for the last 7 yrs. Madison loved being with Jenn or (Gin) as she says it, my little southern girl! We love you Jenn, we will miss getting to see you but thank goodness for Skype, email and the phone!

SNOW, really.....in Charlotte!

Always saying "Cheese" for the camera but this time her teeth were chattering!



When they say it's gonna snow in Charlotte all that usually means is the grocery stores will be busy w/ people buying up all the bread and milk but this time it really did snow!!! Madison absolutely loves it and cried when we had to come in! She and Marco went sledding down the hill in our back yard and she helped him shovel the driveway with her little shovel.
